Global Disaster Fund

Right now, there are people in desperate need of life-saving humanitarian assistance – shelter, food and medical aid. In times of disaster and crisis, with your help, there can still be hope for humanity.

Recently, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the southern island of Mindanao in the Philippines, killing at least 55 people and leaving behind a trail of destruction. It is one of the most powerful earthquakes to hit the Philippines in half a century.

Devastating floods also swept across parts of Asia late last year, affecting Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. Tragically, over 1,000 people lost their lives in the aftermath of these disasters.

By donating to the Global Disaster Fund today, you will ensure that, through the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, we can deliver immediate and long-term humanitarian relief to communities in urgent need. Please donate. Your support is needed now more than ever.

How your support will be delivered

When you make a donation, you are supporting people through the world’s largest humanitarian network to help people in need around the world. Our 191 national societies work together to provide relief wherever it’s needed most.

Your generosity means we are often the first on the ground when a disaster strikes, providing critical assistance and a shoulder to lean on during some of the worst times in people’s lives.

And thanks to humanitarians like you, we remain by the side of affected communities, long after others have left, to help them recover and rebuild their lives.
