Buildings have collapsed, critical infrastructure has been damaged, and hospitals are treating increasing numbers of injured people. Search and rescue teams are working urgently to locate survivors, while aftershocks continue to threaten affected communities.
In response, Venezuelan Red Cross has activated its Emergency Operations Centre, Red Cross ambulances have been deployed, Red Cross search and rescue teams have been mobilised to support evacuation and rescue efforts, while shelter facilities are being prepared for people forced to leave their homes.
Please donate today to stand alongside communities in Venezuela during this difficult time.

The full humanitarian impact is still being assessed, as families cope with the loss of homes and concerns for missing loved ones. With communication disrupted, Red Cross restoring family links services are helping people reconnect with family members.
People affected by disasters like these often need immediate support, including emergency shelter, access to clean water, healthcare, including trauma care and mental health and psychosocial support, essential household items, and help reconnecting with family members. As recovery begins, communities may also require ongoing assistance to rebuild their lives and restore livelihoods.
Your donation can provide urgent support and help communities rebuild after disaster.
Your donation to the Venezuela Earthquakes Emergency Appeal will help Red Cross teams respond to urgent humanitarian needs and support longer-term recovery efforts.
As the situation develops, funds may help provide emergency shelter, essential relief supplies, healthcare support, clean water and sanitation services, cash assistance, restoring family links services, and other forms of humanitarian assistance based on the needs identified on the ground.

Donations may also help support Red Cross emergency response activities, including shelter assistance, relief distributions, emergency communications and the coordination of humanitarian response efforts.

Your support could also help New Zealand Red Cross contribute specialist expertise through the deployment of International Delegates, whose skills can strengthen humanitarian operations and help deliver life-changing assistance to communities affected by disasters.

The impact of major earthquakes can last long after the ground stops shaking. Families may face months or even years of recovery as they rebuild homes, restore livelihoods and recover from the physical and emotional effects of the disaster.
Together, we can help ensure people affected by these earthquakes receive the support they need now and, in the months, ahead.
Please donate today to stand alongside communities in Venezuela during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
As part of the world's largest humanitarian network, we also respond to disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies, support resilience in the Pacific, and help reconnect families separated by conflict or disaster.
