Be There For
Humanity –
Here & Abroad

Improving the lives of people experiencing vulnerability by mobilising the power of humanity and enhancing community resilience.

Every day, we help people across Aotearoa New Zealand – supporting them during disasters and emergencies, helping refugee-background families settle into life here, and delivering hot meals and other essential community services.

As part of the world's largest humanitarian network, we also respond to disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies, support resilience in the Pacific, and help reconnect families separated by conflict or disaster.

Your donation helps ensure we can be there before, during, and after crises – providing practical support, humanitarian assistance, and hope where it is needed most.

Giving monthly has a greater impact.

Preparation saves lives

Recently, New Zealand Red Cross International Delegate Ellie van Baaren was in the Philippines following a series of devastating disasters – an earthquake followed by two powerful typhoons within weeks. Entire communities were overwhelmed by extreme winds, flooding, and destruction. Ellie witnessed the aftermath firsthand.
