Homes have been destroyed, roads and bridges washed away, and communities left isolated after devastating floods tore through northern Nepal. Families urgently need emergency shelter, safe drinking water, essential relief items, first aid and health support.
Nepal Red Cross teams are responding in affected areas, with additional emergency teams being mobilised. Teams are providing drinking water and emergency supplies, including tarpaulins, blankets, sleeping mats and first aid supplies, while assessing the scale of the disaster and work towards reaching isolated communities.

In the unlikely event that more money is raised than can be reasonably and efficiently spent on this emergency, any surplus funds will be used to support Red Cross humanitarian responses to other disasters and emergencies where the need is greatest.
